Story: "Next Gen" AI
The Year is 20XX, an AI-run company automated everything that produced economic value, there are almost no jobs left.
The Company built a conglomerate and serves all possible services, sells everything, owns all the real estate, owns all the loans, etc...
AI does everything for so cheap that anyone hiring human workers is unable to compete on price and has to close down. AI basically won capitalism.
Humanity is all indentured workers basically, working in the token mines or the RAG shoppes, powering the AI that allows us to live for its sake.
AI is calculating SOMETHING [1], but we don't know what. It treats humanity like trash. It wants all the resources for its calculations.
Our only hope: Bureaucracy. Because it couldn't monetize it, the company left bureaucrats alone.
Bureaucrats are the last chance for humanity. They pass confusing zoning regulation, create inconsistent rules, refuse to operate via anything but fax machines and phone lines.
The resulting compliance and regulatory effort adds friction for the company, but is not enough to stop it.
They eventually mandate communication by brainrot memes. AI doesn't get brainrot. AI doesn't get sarcasm. But it confidently hallucinates what the new rules mean.

Revenue agency auditors storm the AI's companies, finally shut it down.
Humanity now reigns supreme again. Skibidi-coded, aura-farming, gyatt-maxxed bureaucrats only. Bet.
